Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Congressional Bill Feed?
The Bill Feed is a social-style, filterable stream of every active bill in the 119th U.S. Congress (2025–2027). Each card shows the bill title, sponsor, party, chamber, latest floor action, and roll-call vote outcome — all sourced directly from Congress.gov, GovInfo, and the House and Senate clerks.
How often is the feed updated?
Data is refreshed from Congress.gov, GovInfo.gov, and the official House and Senate clerk offices whenever new floor actions or roll-call votes are published by those sources.
How do I filter bills by party or chamber?
Use the filter bar at the top: click House or Senate to narrow by chamber, and D, R, or I to filter by party. Type a bill number, title, or sponsor name in the search box to narrow further, and use the sort menu to order by newest, oldest, or sponsor name.
What is a roll-call vote?
A roll-call (recorded) vote is a congressional vote where every member's individual Yea or Nay is officially logged — distinct from a voice vote. You can see the full roll-call breakdown for any bill in our Bill Tracker.
What is the difference between the Bill Feed and the Bill Tracker?
The Bill Feed (this page) presents bills as social cards sorted by recent activity — perfect for quickly scanning what is moving in Congress right now. The Bill Tracker offers a sortable, filterable data table with column controls, CSV export, a personal watchlist, and deep-link sharing — built for in-depth research and monitoring specific legislation over time.
How do I find my representative's voting record?
Tap any sponsor photo in the feed to open their profile directly. Or visit Find Your Representatives to search by name. You can also enter your ZIP code on our homepage to find which House and Senate seats represent you and navigate to their full voting history.
What is the vote and where can I see it?
The vote on a bill is the recorded Yea or Nay decision by each member of Congress during a roll call. Tap any bill in this feed to see its latest action, or visit the Bill Tracker to see who voted for or against every bill with full roll-call breakdowns.
